The FAA has granted a partial extension to ASC's request. A revised exemption (6080H) has been granted. If you have registered your PPC before January 31, 2008 and did not meet the deadline for inspection, you have been granted another two years to convert. FAA's Notice of Proposed Rule Making (NPRM) - Docket Number 2007-29015
The FAA is proposing changes to the Sport Pilot rules. Some of the changes are welcomed and some are not. The FAA has proposed a total of 260 changes. Some changes affect all categories and some are category specific. There are 18 proposed changes that affect powered parachutes. For more information about these changes go to the website. The comment period is now over and final ruling will be announced by the FAA in the near future.
